About Us

Jeff OConnor's vision began by feeding the homeless in the City of Pittsburgh. Every Friday for years he would go under the bridges and show the love of Christ by feeding those less fortunate.

Soon after trips to Bolivia to feed the Orphans and Widows enlightened his vision. When the Passion was realized Jeff opened the Rochester Smokehouse in 2013, just a Catering business for almost eight years. Sowing seed into the church and community is what Jeff loves to do. So in 2021 Jeff opened his Restaurant. Then Covid hit and finding workers were at a premium. So he closed his dine in Restaurant and opened a take out only facility, where servers, cashiers and dishwashers were no longer needed.

The Lord continues to bless him and his thriving business. He continues to sow seed into local area non profit's including donating food weekly to the Men's homeless shelter. To God the glory!

Smokehouse Pizza

What really stood out to me was the crust. It was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of crunch on the outside while maintaining a soft, airy interior, creating a light texture that's hard to find locally. As someone who made pizzas for over 10+ years, I can appreciate when dough is treated with care, and this crust was spot on. It's refreshing to see a pizza that lets the quality of the dough shine while pairing it with excellent smoked meats. I'll definitely be ordering it again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something beyond the typical pizza experience.

Smokehouse Mac & Cheese

The smoked mac & cheese is the best!! We've tried just about everything on the menu, and its all really good. Rochester Smokehouse has been on our family table for Father's Days, Birthdays, and other special events over the years. Thank you Jeff, you do an amazing job.
