Here at Rochester Smokehouse we are community oriented. We have been giving back to the community since the day we opened. In fact that is how the passion for cooking was realized, when cooking for the homeless under the bridges of Pittsburgh.
Traveling as far away to the country of Bolivia several times to cook for the orphans and widows. My wife and I even made our honeymoon a mission trip to serve and cook for the least of these. We are blessed, so we may be a blessing to others. The passion for cooking was first realized while serving others in the church and it has grown. We sow regular seed into various ministries around the community. We show the love of Christ, with our food.
This Thanksgiving 2017 is our third year in business, and also our third year of "feed a family." We buy, cook and deliver meals to less fortunate or struggling families on Thanksgiving day. We have been feeding thirty homeless men every Sunday night for over a year.
When the restaurant opens in 2018, we'll offer a free meal to the homeless on a weekly basis. We will have a monthly "pay what you can afford" event that will allow families who can't afford to go out to eat, a chance to do so.
Another way we at Rochester Smokehouse shows the love, is to offer substantial discounts for non profits and charitable causes. We provide many local non profits with our food, that they sell or advertise at their event. Our products and reputation increase sales, and add to your bottom line. So when you buy from Rochester Smokehouse, your not only supporting us here, but also many many in the community.
